Arnold Schwarzenegger's Netflix Show Gets a New Cast and Characters

Arnold Schwarzenegger's unnamed espionage series, which will reunite him with fellow Terminator Gabriel Luna, has a large cast announced by Netflix.

In 1994, Schwarzenegger reunited with Cameron for the spy picture True Lies, in which he starred as Harry Tasker, a covert agent striving to juggle his espionage career with his family life. Arnie is returning to the espionage game in a new action series for Netflix, where he will play a CIA agent and the father of another agent portrayed by Top Gun: Maverick's Monica Barbaro. Even more recently, the streaming service revealed more cast members, including Jay Baruchel from How to Train Your Dragon, Aparna Brielle, and Arnie's Terminator: Dark Fate co-star Gabriel Luna. Andy Buckley, Milan Carter, Fortune Feimster, Barbara Eve Harris, Fabiana Udenio, and Travis Van Winkle will also appear as series regulars.

Netflix has recently seen a significant drop in subscriber numbers, leading its stock price to collapse. With unparalleled growth in rival services, Netflix appears to be more determined than ever to keep its apex of the streaming food chain. Being able to recruit big-name performers like Schwarzenegger would undoubtedly help to entice subscribers to return to the service. If Arnold Schwarzenegger's next spy adventure lives up to the popularity of his last espionage expedition, Netflix may have found a hit.
