Catwoman's Alternate Nightclub Outfits Are Revealed in Batman Concept Art
The Batman concept image shows a variety of clothes for Zoe Kravitz's Selina Kyle as she works as a waiter at the Iceberg Lounge
The Batman's main focus is the psychological chess match between a detective-oriented Batman and Paul Dano's Riddler, an enigmatic serial murderer who targets Gotham City's corrupt politicians and teases the GCPD with ciphers and riddles á la the Zodiac killer. Batman's inquiry into the Riddler's killings takes him to the Iceberg Lounge, a nightclub run by Carmine Falcone's subordinate, the Penguin, early in the film. While speaking with him regarding Annika Koslov, Batman observes that her roommate, Selina, works as a waiter at the club. This common interest signals the beginning of their partnership once Annika disappears.
The Batman concept image now shows various potential clothes Selina may have worn as a waitress at the Iceberg Lounge. Several months after the theatrical release of The Batman, concept artist Adam Brockbank came to Instagram to reveal two glances at Selina's alternative clubwear, created by Oscar winner Jacqueline Duran. Take a look at the concept art below:
Brockbank has published many pieces of concept art from The Batman on social media since the film's premiere in March. Previous appearances showed the Penguin's initial costume, which had a mustard-yellow suit with almost minimal face prosthetics. Early concept drawings for the Riddler also revealed that the main villain's look was initially altered, including an alternate emblem that covered his suit. The most recent concept image depicts Kravitz in alternative outfits as Selina Kyle.
Catwoman, like many other characters in The Batman, has a more simple style, complete with a cloth mask reminiscent of her appearance in the comics. Selina's nightclub ensembles are in the same style, however it's easy to see her wearing either of the concept art looks. The corset top with exposed midriff and thin choker, on the other hand, would have been a more daring choice. Nonetheless, Selina has a number of notable looks in The Batman, which is currently streaming on HBO Max.
