Disney+ Poll Features Fantastic Four Fan Art Featuring Krasinski and Blunt
A Fantastic Four fan poster featuring John Krasinski as Reed Richards and Emily Blunt as Sue Storm is used in a "invite-only" survey addressed to Disney+ subscribers
The fourth phase of the MCU has been dedicated to the development of the notion of the multiverse, in which all potential outcomes of quantum measurements are realized in some reality. Spider-Man: No Way Home brought together three generations of webslingers, while Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness offered a number of unexpected cameos. Doctor Strange is hauled before the Illuminati of Earth-838, which includes Karl Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor), Captain Carter (Hayley Atwell), Maria Rambeau/Captain Marvel (Lashana Lynch), Black Bolt (Anson Mount), Professor Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart), and Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic (Krasinski). The second surprise was certainly the product of the aforementioned fan casting and has only fueled fans' desire to see Krasinski and Blunt as Richards and Storm on Earth-616, respectively.
The pair's likeness was also featured in a Disney+ poll as viewers anticipate the next Fantastic Four revival. A screenshot posted to Twitter by @WGreatPowerBook shows a third-party poll conducted to certain Disney+ subscribers concerning impending MCU projects. Mitch Letcher's Fantastic Four fan poster appears on the "invite-only" poll, with Krasinski as Richards, Blunt as Storm, Zac Efron as Johnny Storm/the Human Torch, Liev Schreiber as Benjamin Grimm/the Thing, and Bill Hader as the team's robot helper. Check out the following post:
Letcher's image was initially uploaded online in November 2019, closer to the announcement of the MCU Fantastic Four film and far before Krasinski's Doctor Strange 2 cameo. While the above tweet speculates that Mr. Fantastic's new looks may be a clue to his Earth-616 appearance, it's more likely that those working on the survey are just utilizing pictures they believe best represent initiatives, official or not. To be clear, the poll is not from Disney and does not provide any final casting information.
Sadly, Jon Watts left Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four earlier this year. It's unknown if this has caused a delay in the project, as production and casting information are still being kept under wraps. Furthermore, Blunt has previously stated that she is not a fan of superhero films, which might imply that Krasinski's Doctor Strange 2 appearance was simply a fun way to please moviegoers and, quite frankly, keep them talking. However, items like the Disney+ customer survey should keep Krasinski and Blunt on everyone's mind while discussing Marvel's First Family.
