Dwayne Johnson Has Revealed The Release Date For The Black Adam Trailer

Dwayne Johnson has announced the global premiere of the first official Black Adam trailer, which will be released in cinemas this summer

Due to COVID-19 and other circumstances, Black Adam has been delayed several times. While Black Adam was supposed to hit cinemas on July 29, 2022, a VFX delay moved the release date back to October 21, 2022, and Johnson's other DC superhero project, the animated DC League of Super-Pets, usurped the July slot. While there have been a few peeks of the film at DC FanDome and the 2022 DC Theatrical teaser, no official trailer has been published.

The wait is almost over, as Johnson announced on Instagram when the first trailer for Black Adam will be released. The global premiere trailer will be released on June 8, 2022, according to Johnson. He also shared a fresh behind-the-scenes shot from the film, implying that they had just finished filming the "iconic moment" in which the character sits on the throne. The date of June 8, 2022, falls on a Wednesday, the day before the first Jurassic World: Dominion preview screenings commence. The teaser for Black Adam is likely to be connected to Warner Bros.' highly anticipated dinosaur picture, which is predicted to have the biggest opening weekend of 2022. Warner Bros. may show the teaser in front of a number of highly anticipated summer blockbusters, such as Thor: Love and Thunder, to help pique the interest of mainstream viewers who are unfamiliar with the character.

While there is no indication on whether DC will bring any of its projects to San Diego Comic-Con 2022, which runs from July 21 to 24, there is a potential Warner Bros. will bring either another teaser or an extended scene from Black Adam for visitors. With a release date of late October, Warner Bros. will have plenty of time to ramp up the promotion for the picture, with a second trailer expected in August or September. With Shazam! Fury of the Gods due to hit theaters only two months after Black Adam given the two characters' strong ties, it'll be fascinating to watch how Warner Bros. markets their link and how the two films interact.
