Gamers Being Kicked Out Of Modern Warfare 2 And Not Being Allowed To Play Early Access Campaign

A bug appears to be preventing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 gamers from accessing the single-player campaign's early access launch.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 won't be released for another five days, but while they wait, Call of Duty fans may enjoy the game's story via pre-order early access. Needless to say, several gamers were astonished to discover that Activision has banned them from the servers of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, including the early access campaign timeframe.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign early access offer for pre-orderers does not include multiplayer. The idea is that Call of Duty players will be able to finish the story before the official launch and then spend all of their time playing Multiplayer with their buddies. However, because the CDs have not yet been shipped, the early access campaign is being conducted exclusively online.

According to Reddit user Bender99342, this is precisely what happened to them. They uploaded a topic titled "I got banned from the single-player game for some reason..." to the ModernWarfareII subreddit, along with a screenshot as proof. The screenshot shows them receiving a "Connection Failed" problem notice when attempting to enter the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign early access.

The error message states that the user has been "permanently banned" from playing on the servers of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The initial reaction to the post reasonably assumes that this is a glitch. This is because any justification for potentially getting banned in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 makes no sense when playing a single-player campaign.

Of course, Bender99342 claims that they were not cheating. They claim they were playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on their Steam Deck when it crashed owing to an issue. When they returned, they were barred. The only answer they can come up with is that they had the League of Legends Blitz App running in the background, which RICOCHET may have perceived as a danger. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 gamers may be banned owing to RICOCHET's aggressiveness. Furthermore, it might be due to a peculiar bug. It's also possible that the gamer was cheating in a single-player game, which Activision no longer allows. It's a difficult position, but nobody wins here.
