In The New Thor: Love And Thunder Image Valkyrie Meets Jane Foster

Valkyrie sits with Jane Foster in a new promotional shot from Marvel Studios' Thor: Love and Thunder

After the events of Avengers: Endgame, the original God of Thunder (Chris Hemsworth) will be at a point in his life where he isn't sure what he wants to do with his life. When an interplanetary murderer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale) undertakes a campaign to eliminate all gods, his search for inner peace is abruptly disrupted. To stop the evil, Thor must enlist the support of his extraterrestrial buddy Korg (Taika Waititi), New Asgard's King Valkyrie, and his old sweetheart Jane Foster/The Mighty Thor.

DiscussingFilm's Twitter posted a fresh photograph of King Valkyrie and Jane Foster seated in what seems to be the Council of the Gods earlier today. They have serious, attentive expressions on their faces, and the architecture of the room appears to be quite royal. Check out the picture below:

The first trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder was released a month ago to widespread acclaim, with 209 million views in the first 24 hours. It finished with a scene of Portman returning as Jane Foster, this time holding a reforged Mjlnir as the Mighty Thor, with plenty of action and spectacular visual effects set to Guns N' Roses' "Sweet Child o' Mine." Fans have been wondering how a human figure like Foster discovered this new talent and how Mjlnir was rebuilt since the film was unveiled at Comic-Con in 2019. A second trailer for Marvel Studios' upcoming film should be released shortly, with a theatrical release less than two months away.

Valkyrie and Jane Foster have distinct backgrounds and chemistry with the God of Thunder, so it'll be interesting to watch how they connect. Of course, although the humorous banter should be entertaining, it'll be much more interesting to witness how they interact in real life. Perhaps a peek of it will be shown in the second trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder.
