A website with free jigsaw puzzle games I'm-A-Puzzle has examined Google search results to find the ten most anticipated forthcoming video games planned to release in 2022, 2023, and beyond, and the results are startling. The list was compiled using the average global monthly searches for the games. With 3,014,790 monthly searches, Grand Theft Auto 6 earned the top place by a wide margin. Hogwarts Legacy, Avalanche Software's upcoming Harry Potter action RPG, came in second with 1,641,470 searches. God of War Ragnarok, PlayStation's most popular Christmas game, came in third with 1,298,120 searches. Overwatch 2, with 1,051,850 searches, and Bethesda's open-world sci-fi title Starfield, with 690,490 searches, round out the top five.

The bottom five are somewhat unexpected. With 627,980 searches, the 2022 edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 ranked second to Starfield, followed by Gotham Knights (570,620 searches), Baldur's Gate 3 (553,690 searches), the Breath of the Wild sequel Tears of the Kingdom (546,890 searches), and Diablo 4 (546,890 searches) (519,040 searches). Regardless, the list demonstrates that there are a plethora of fascinating new video games to look forward to. Some of these titles, such as Overwatch 2, Gotham Knights, and Modern Warfare 2, will be available soon, while others, such as Hogwarts Legacy and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, will be available in 2023. Others, such as GTA6, may not have release dates, but there should be plenty of other games to enjoy in the meantime.
