Season 3 Of Star Trek: Picard Has Lost Three More Cast Members

Isa Briones (Soji/Kore), Evan Evagora (Elnor), and Santiago Cabrera (Captain Rios) have confirmed that they will not return for Season 3 of Star Trek: Picard.

Alison Pill, who plays Dr. Agnes Jurati on Star Trek: Picard and is the most recent Borg Queen, revealed that she will not be returning for season 3 shortly before the series' last episode. Along with Patrick Stewart, Jeri Ryan and Michelle Hurd have been confirmed to reprise their roles as Seven of Nine and Raffi, respectively. With season 3 production begun and one key cast member departing, questions regarding the condition of the rest of Picard's motley crew in the following season began to surface.

More members of the cast are no longer anticipated to return for Season 3 of Star Trek: Picard. Isa Briones, Evan Evagora, and Santiago Cabrera will not be returning for season 3 according to Trekmovie.com. Isa Briones has appeared in many episodes of Star Trek: Picard, with her character Soji serving as a crucial catalyst in season 1 and Kore in the present-day timeline in season 2. Elnor the Romulan warrior is played by Evan Evagora, and Captain Cristobal Rios is played by Santiago Cabrera.

Cristobal Rios stayed in the past to start a new life at the end of Star Trek: Picard season 2, therefore his absence in season 3 was expected. However, the revelation that Soji and Elnor will not be appearing in Star Trek: Picard season 3 is startling, especially given how both characters were sidelined for much of season 2, with Soji remaining behind and Elnor being slain in the pilot episode but resurrected in the season finale. Soji's participation in Star Trek: Picard season 2 had been hinted at by Briones, but it turned out that Kore had far more screen time.

While no justification was stated for the characters' absence, the huge ensemble of Star Trek: Picard is the most plausible explanation. The return of several of the cast members from Star Trek: The Next Generation, including LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Franks, Marina Sirtis, Gates McFadden, and Brent Spiner, has been announced for Star Trek: Picard season 3. Star Trek: Picard season 3 is shaping up to be more of a conclusion to Star Trek: The Next Generation than Star Trek: Nemesis, and will provide a more suitable conclusion to the characters. Unfortunately, because of the focus on the old crew, there is no room for the new characters from Star Trek: Picard.
