Shuri And The Queen Mother Prepare To Fight In New Stills In Black Panther 2

A new shot from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever shows Princess Shuri and the Queen Mother of the sophisticated kingdom ready for a war.

Marvel Studios' long-awaited feature, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, has unveiled an amazing new picture showing Shuri and the Queen Mother. The duo is clearly ready to battle for their life in the photograph provided by Empire, carrying spears and not wearing the regal dress they are frequently seen wearing.

In truth, the Queen Mother, as portrayed by Angela Bassett, is devoid of any type of regal headpiece. It's unclear who or what they're confronting or where they are in the photograph. Much of the talk surrounding Wakanda Forever has centered on who will be the next Black Panther. Many people believe Shuri is the natural heir to the nation's crown and the vibranium-lined fighting suit.

Although merchandise for the next sequel appears to imply she will be the new superhero, this has not been officially verified. Shortly after the film's premiere in 2018, work on a sequel began. These plans were forced to adjust after actor Chadwick Boseman died of colon cancer in 2020.

Out of respect for Boseman's memory, Marvel Studios stated that his character, T'Challa, will not be replaced. From Captain America: Civil War to Avengers: Endgame, the actor played Black Panther across the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and he even earned a posthumous Emmy for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance for his role as a version of T'Challa in the animated What If...? series on Disney+.

Much of the promotion for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has focused on T'Challa's family, including Shuri, Queen Ramonda, Okoye, and Nakia, who is played by Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, Danai Gurira, and Lupita Nyong'o, respectively. Martin Freeman will reprise his role as Everett K. Ross, while Winston Duke will play M'Baku. Wakanda Forever will also feature several new characters in the MCU, including Atlanteans commanded by the superhero Namor, played by actor Tenoch Huerta. Wright recently revealed his feelings about returning to the series following the death of Boseman. She explained, "It was something I was battling for months. The confidence that [Ryan Coogler] felt that he heard Chadwick just give him that gentle push forward, to continue. And the way that Ryan would express that it was bigger than all of us, and Chad would have wanted us to continue. That really encouraged me."
