Telltale Game's Newest Project The Expanse Will Be Shown At Gamescom

Telltale Games will release a gameplay clip for The Expanse: A Telltale Game at Opening Night Live, according to Geoff Keigley.

One of the world premiere announcements made at The Game Awards the previous year was that Telltale Games will be making a comeback with a game with its distinctive episodic narrative. The Expanse is a collection of science fiction books that were turned into a television series that aired on SyFy and Amazon Prime for six seasons.

A number of statements by Geoff Keighley have confirmed that there would be game previews during the Gamescom Opening Night Live event. The Expanse: A TellTale Series will be releasing a gameplay video during Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 23rd, according to Keighley and The Telltale Games Twitter accounts.

The first glimpse of gameplay will debut at the show, as teased by the TellTale Games Twitter account. The brief movie shows a character, most likely Drummer, floating through a ship's corridors in the manner for which the series is renowned. This game is also being created by Deck Nine, the firm that was responsible for Life is Strange: True Colors.

Speaking of returning actors, Chrisjen Avasarala's on-screen actress Shohreh Aghdashloo recently hinted in a tweet that she was writing lines for a video game. She has performed in a number of video games, including the Mass Effect and Destiny series. Fans have assumed that her character would be in the game based on how her tweet was phrased and some lighthearted replies.

There is a sense of anticipation for Telltale Games' comeback. The Wolf Among Us 2 was confirmed to be in the works, but The Expanse seems to be getting the green light before it. Fans of the franchise will be very grateful for a game trailer and confirmation of the platforms on which the game will be available. Given the trend in video game production, a release date for the game appears to be further away.
