Thor's Mighty Arm Muscles Are Shown In The Love And Thunder Stills

New Thor: Love and Thunder pictures reveal Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman's superhuman bodies and their preparation for the Marvel Studios film

Total Film has revealed stills of Natalie Portman and Chris Hemsworth's Thor characters in advance of the next Love and Thunder issue, giving fans a closer look at their remarkable arm muscles. The photos tease Hemsworth's transformation from traditional Viking clothing to tight muscular tank tops while showcasing Portman's godlike features in her recreation of Thor's sleeveless iron breastplate and leather armbands.


Portman stated that she wanted Jane Foster to be able to compete in the tight action moments of the movie while carrying the burden of this heroic mantle. She said, "I worked out for a very long period before and throughout, and I was doing the entire protein shake [thing]." It significantly aided in preparing me for the degree of activity we ultimately engaged in.

The actor acknowledged that the most demanding parts were handled by "amazing" stunt doubles but noted that the cast was still forced to put in a lot of endurance work and hammer-wielding. "Having strength was undoubtedly beneficial. You need some upper-body strength to carry the weight of the cape all day, Portman said.


Despite the fact that Love and Thunder showed off a significantly altered version of the Jane that viewers first met in Thor, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige insisted that the studio was only responsible for one aspect of Portman's on-screen transformation, and it wasn't Jane's superhuman arm strength. He stated, "The only thing we helped with was making the Mighty Thor a little bit higher. "We solely employed that kind of cinematic magic. The rest was all her doing."

The fourth standalone film for the God of Thunder in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Love, and Thunder, was written and directed by Taika Waititi. Following Avengers: Infinity War, the movie will follow Thor Odinson as he works with Jane Foster, who has subsequently come into possession of his famous hammer, to achieve peace in the wide galaxy of heroes. To prevent Gorr the God Butcher from wiping all gods from existence, the two ex-lovers will need to work together.


Waititi as Korg, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, and the Guardians of the Galaxy crew will all be back in Marvel Studios' newest superhero extravaganza in addition to Portman and Hemsworth. Russell Crowe as the Greek deity Zeus and Christian Bale as Gorr are recent additions to the cast. Waititi also alluded to other unexpected celebrity cameos, with Matt Damon slated to return to the film as his doppelganger for Loki.
