To Celebrate 25 Years Of Final Fantasy 7 Square Enix Have Announced An Anniversary Stream
Square Enix has announced the Final Fantasy VII 25th Anniversary Celebration webcast, which will feature 10 minutes of revelations and information
The original FF7 Remake was presented at E3 2015, and it was one of the most significant announcements in the show's history. That statement was maybe a touch early, given that the game wouldn't be launched for another five years. Square recently said that FF7 Remake news will be released in June, while many anticipated that it would be part of a larger display rather than having its own dedicated event.
In recognition of Square Enix's 25th anniversary, it appears like all FF7 Remake news will be condensed into a single program. According to the official Final Fantasy VII Remake Twitter account, the event will last approximately 10 minutes but will be jam-packed with news on forthcoming projects.
While an Aerith and Tifa prequel novel is due out in 2022, the most apparent material expected to feature on the livestream is an update on FF7 Remake Part 2, or whatever the final game's name will be. The successor to FF7 Remake has been in production for about two years, so there may be something to reveal regarding the game, even though no release date or timeframe has been set.
There are several announcements that might be made during the presentation, but the news about the FF7 Remake sequel is what everyone is waiting for. It's unlikely that the game will be released this year, especially given that FF16 has been delayed until summer 2023, but a teaser video with a name revelation should be plenty to keep Final Fantasy fans buzzing for years to come.
