Two New College-Age Supes That Will Debut On The Boys Spinoff Are Shown In Full Costume

Fans get their first glance at the Prime Video franchise's two newest Supes, Valorie Curry's Firecracker and Susan Heyward's Sage, in The Boys: Gen V.

The Boys: Gen V has released the first look at two of the forthcoming spinoff's college-age Supes. The photographs are courtesy of The Boys' official Twitter account and represent Firecracker and Sage's formal debut. At this point, nothing is known about either character; however, their respective codenames, as well as the tweet's language, imply that Sage is clairvoyant, and Firecracker's skills are pyrokinetic in nature.

Sage and Firecracker's clothes, which were designed by The Boys' costume designer, Laura Jean Shannon, appear to indicate their relationship to the show's mature-aged Supes. The Boys: Gen V revealing two previously unknown members of the show's cast is part of an increase in publicity around the series in recent months.

Season 2 Of Marvel's Moon Girl And Devil Dinosaur Has Been Renewed

The college-themed spinoff was initially announced in September 2020 under the working title "The Boys Presents: Varsity," but its final title wasn't disclosed until July 2022. Plot details are few, but The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke recently announced that The Boys: Gen V will revolve around a squad named the G-Men and will lampoon teen superhero stereotypes.

Kripke recently revealed The Boys: Gen V concept art on Twitter, highlighting the spinoff's core setting, Godolkin University. This Vought International-run college is where aspiring Supes get the training they need to control their powers and advance to full-time superheroes in the employ of the nefarious corporation.

The Boys' Twitter account later stated that Gen V concluded production in September 2022, with a series of behind-the-scenes photographs including stars Jaz Sinclair, London Thor, Maddie Phillips, Asa Germann, Chance Perdomo, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Lizzie Broadway. In a recent interview, The Boys star Jack Quaid lauded the Gen V cast, noting that he met the franchise's new members shortly after filming began. "It was occurring while I was filming [Star Trek: Strange New Worlds] in Toronto, just as the cast of [Generation V] was beginning production. So I treated them all to breakfast one day. I got to know quite a few of them. They're fantastic. They're quite talented "He stated.
